World’s First! Sewing Robot Manufacturing Base Commences Production in Taizhou

Recently, the sewing robot manufacturing base of AI Intelligent Apparel Brand ‘Aitu Technology,’ which is under Jack Technology Co., Ltd., has officially commenced production. The base is located in Taizhou Bay New District, with a planned annual production capacity of up to 10,000 units.

It is reported that this base is the world’s first specialized manufacturing factory for sewing robots. Its successful launch marks the complete transition of flexible sewing embodied intelligence technology from the laboratory prototype development stage to a new phase of industrialization, standardization, and large-scale batch deployment, providing new momentum for the global intelligent garment manufacturing industry.

For a long time, the sewing process has been regarded as the most challenging flexible operation field in the industrial robotics sector due to its soft materials, complex techniques, and numerous processes.

Relying on its technological accumulation in the fields of embodied intelligence and flexible manipulation, Aitu Technology (Aitu) released a prototype sewing robot in 2025, engaging in joint innovation with global clients. The company brought robots into actual production lines, conducting extensive tests and iterations for different fabrics, styles, and processes, transforming sewing robots from the laboratory capability of ‘can sew’ into the factory-level stability of ‘sews reliably, efficiently, and in bulk.’ This bridged the engineering gap from technical verification to stable and reliable implementation, laying a solid process foundation for mass production.

CEO Insight

“We are committed to bringing flexible sewing embodied intelligence out of the laboratory and truly into factory workshops, helping apparel companies solve core problems such as labor shortages, low efficiency, and inconsistent quality,”

— Zhang Hanwen, CEO of Aitu Technology

The base integrates advanced flexible assembly lines, intelligent inspection systems, and digital management systems, specifically designed for the precise manufacturing and large-scale production of sewing robots.

Zhang Hanwen stated that Aitu Technology will use the sewing robot manufacturing base as a pivot for industrialization, continuously iterating on embodied intelligence algorithms and robotic hardware, steadily enriching sewing process scenarios, and promoting the large-scale adoption of sewing robots in flexible product fields such as apparel, footwear, luggage, and home textiles. The company will also collaborate with upstream and downstream partners to jointly build a smart ecosystem for flexible sewing.
